Hair Care

How long should I go between a color service and texurizing service (i.e. relaxer/perm)?

At least 6 weeks to protect the hair. This includes coloring/bleaching eyebrows and getting a lamination service.

How can I best keep my hair detangled?

Comb/brush it and moisturize daily.

How often should I get my hair trimmed to stimulate growth?

Trimming is recommended every 6 to 8 weeks, or every time you take out a protective style.

How often should I get my hair trimmed to stimulate growth?

Best practice is to use essential oils because they absorb into hair and skin better. Go for lighter natural oils as opposed to heavy oils (coconut oil, blue magic, hair grease). Ask about the hair oils we carry in-shop during your appointment.

Proper hair care after swimming?

Use a good quality conditioner wash (cowash) and make sure all the chlorine is washed out after every swim. It is best practice to wear a swim cap to avoid getting water on the hair at all.
