Tips for Bi-Racial Hair Care
Shampoo:
Bi-racial hair tends to be coarse and sometimes dry. It is recommended to use a moisturizing/deep cleansing shampoo once a week to clean hair without drying it out. To ensure a thoroughly cleaned scalp and hair, always shampoo twice.
Conditioner:
Based on need, it’s usually better to use conditioners for dry hair, especially to combat the desert climate and its effects. Use a wide-tooth comb to comb hair from scalp to ends. Leave in for at least 10 to 15 minutes. For optimum effective conditioning, cover hair with a plastic cap. If you shampoo and condition in the shower start on the hair first, leave the cap on and continue with your shower. Rinse hair before exiting the shower.
Leave-In Conditioner:
Leave-in conditioner is your best friend in aiding after shampoo styling. When applied to wet hair will help comb through tangles. Proceed to style as desired.
Trim:
Hair should be trimmed every six weeks to minimize tangles and split ends.
